Musical
Direction by Candy Stoffel

Musical: If you're looking for a fun-filled, foot-stompin' musical taken directly from the comics, then LI'L ABNER is for you. It's pure entertainment; a side-splitting extravaganza for all. Songs such as "If I Had My Druthers", "Jubilation T. Cornpone", "Namely You", "Love in a Home", "Progress Is the Root of All Evil", "Rag Off'n the Bush" and "The Country's in the Very Best of Hands" will keep you laughing. The show is laced with gentle satire, rib-tickling humor, and a host of brash, catchy tunes.

The Story:
Ye Olde Wayside Inn is a chamber of horrors haunted by the spirit of a soldier who deserted Washington at Valley Forge.  Residing there are three flaky cousins, their Uncle Silas and a hired girl.  Cousin Ebenezer is dangerous when it’s stormy; he lures victims to the inn to avenge an old wrong.  This hilarious spoof will be enjoyed by all.

Please remember that our Main Stage Productions are chosen with mature teens and adults in mind.  While the plays we select are appropriate for this age range, patrons need to understand that a good play reflects real life and, as such, may sometimes contain adult language and situations.  All flyers will include an advisory concerning the language and content of each play.
